Welcome to Lithuania! OlyBet Set to Run Record-Breaking Main Event
The Olympic Casino Lietuva is set to host the largest poker festival held in Lithuania when the OlyBet Kings of Vilnius heads into town on November 15. The festival features more than 30 events and satellites, including a €1,100 Main Event boasting an impressive €250,000 guaranteed prize pool.
November 15 is when the Kings of Vilnius festival shuffles up and deals, ironically, with a €555 buy-in event called the Kings of Vilnius Championship. This opening event has a trio of flights, including a turbo-structured Day 1C, before taking another two days to conclude.
The €1,100 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event is the showpiece tournament on the Kings of Vilnius schedule. Its three Day 1s run between November 21-22, with Day 2 held on November 23, before wrapping up on November 25. OlyBet has placed a €250,000 guarantee on the Main Event's prize pool, making it the largest guaranteed tournament ever held in Lithuania.
"We are absolutely thrilled to bring the festival to Lithuania. It marks a significant milestone for all parties involved," Marijus Grigonis, Head of Baltic Poker Operations at Olympic Entertainment Group, said. "We are expected to break Lithuanian poker records by having a quarter of a million guaranteed in the Main Event, therefore, we welcome all flag-hunters and poker enthusiasts to join the action in Vilnius."
In addition to the eagerly anticipated Main Event, the Kings of Vilnius boasts over 30 tournaments and satellites. These include traditional bounty events, progressive and mystery bounties, a €2,000 High Roller, and the first-ever Pot-Limit Sviten Special event held on Lithuanian soil.
2024 Kings of Vilnius Schedule
OlyBet has pushed the boat out regarding satellites for the Main Event. €30 buy-in satellites run several times during the Kings of Vilnius festival, with some guaranteeing as many as four €1,100 seats.
€80 satellites for the €2,000 High Roller also look good value as they have at least two seats guaranteed in each.
OlyBet was in Vilnius in Jun for the Jacks of June festival. It proved popular with locals, particularly the €555 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event. Some 590 players bought in, resulting in a guarantee-busting €187,200 prize pool. All nine seats at the final table were filled with Lithuanian grinders, with Ovidijus Berenis coming out on top and banking €34,950 after a heads-up deal with an anonymous player (€30,000). Expect similar, if not larger, figures when the Kings of Vilnius festival gets underway.
